JKOO - Designing a personal brand that makes experience visible

PROJECT OVERVIEW

JKOO was created as a personal brand and digital portfolio for Jervis Koo, a marketing specialist focused on helping startups and growing companies communicate their value more effectively. The goal was to build a brand from the ground up that could present his experience in a way that felt clear, credible, and professional. Rather than relying on a generic portfolio format, the project aimed to create a more distinctive visual identity and a website that could better showcase case studies, experience, and strategic thinking. Our role covered the creation of the logo, typography system, brand guidelines, and website, shaping a digital presence designed to build trust and communicate expertise with greater clarity.

PROJECT Challange

The challenge was to create a personal brand that felt polished and professional without becoming overly corporate or generic. Since the project started from zero, every part of the system had to be defined from the beginning from the logo and visual language to the structure of the website itself. The site needed to serve as both a credibility tool and a portfolio, making it easy for potential clients to understand Jervis’s experience, review his case studies, and quickly recognise the value he could bring to startup-focused work. The design therefore had to balance clarity, confidence, and simplicity while helping the personal brand stand out in a competitive market.

PROJECT Approach

We approached JKOO as a complete identity and website build from the ground up. Our work focused on creating a clean and structured visual system through logo design, typography, and brand guidelines, giving the brand a professional but approachable foundation. On the website side, we translated that identity into a digital experience built to highlight case studies and present expertise in a more organised and persuasive way. The overall direction was intentionally sharp and minimal, allowing the content and experience to feel clear, modern, and easy to navigate for startup teams and companies evaluating potential marketing support.

Project Outcome

The result was a clearer and more cohesive personal brand for Jervis Koo, built to support credibility and showcase experience in a more confident way. The new identity and website gave the brand a stronger visual presence while making the portfolio and case studies easier to explore and understand. By building the system from scratch, we were able to create a digital foundation that feels more focused, more professional, and better aligned with the audience Jervis wanted to reach.
