Defence.Works is a consultancy created to connect defence leaders and organisations with top-tier independent experts for mission-critical work. We partnered with the team to build the brand from the ground up, shaping how the company would look, communicate, and present itself in a complex and highly trust-driven sector. Our role covered the full visual identity, communication direction, and website experience, helping translate a serious and technically nuanced field into a digital presence that feels clear, modern, and credible. The goal was to create a brand that could speak with authority while remaining flexible enough to resonate across both governmental and commercial contexts.

The core challenge was to build trust in a category where credibility, clarity, and tone matter deeply. Defence.Works needed a visual and digital identity that felt professional and authoritative without falling into outdated or overly heavy defence-sector clichés. The brand had to communicate strategic capability, resilience, and confidence, while still feeling contemporary and approachable enough to support dialogue with a range of audiences. Since the company was being built from the ground up, every part of the system needed to work together from the start from logo and typography to website structure and the broader communication language.

We approached Defence.Works as a full identity and digital foundation project. Our work began with the creation of the brand itself, including the logo, typography, and core visual assets that would shape the company’s first impression. We developed a shield-inspired mark to reflect protection, trust, and resilience, then built a broader visual system that could support ongoing communication across different formats and use cases. On the digital side, we led the art direction, UX/UI, and full Webflow development process, taking the website from concept through to launch. The overall direction focused on bringing structure and clarity to a complex subject, creating a visual language that feels confident, agile, and distinctly modern.

The result was a complete and cohesive brand system for Defence.Works, giving the company a stronger foundation for communication and growth. The new identity established a clear and recognisable presence in a serious, highly specialised market, while the website created a professional digital platform for presenting the company’s offer with greater clarity and authority. Together, the brand and website positioned Defence.Works as a more distinctive and credible partner, with a visual language that can continue to support ongoing communication, marketing, and business development.
